Strategies for Parents to Prevent Underage Drinking
The Strategies for Parents to Prevent Underage Drinking resource and supporting animated video were developed in collaboration with Hamilton Public Health Services, Hamilton Police Service, Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board and Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. These resources were developed in response to the inquest held into the 2010 alcohol poisoning death of a local youth in Hamilton. The resources highlight the harms associated with alcohol use among youth and provide parents with six evidenced-based strategies to prevent or delay underage drinking.
